 I accidentally overheard yesterday that you're on the layoff list.

A. 生活化、口語化說法

• "I heard by accident yesterday that you might be getting laid off."
  「我昨天意外聽說你可能會被裁員。」

• "I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard your name mentioned for layoffs."
  「我不是故意偷聽的，但我聽到裁員時有提到你的名字。」

• "I overheard something yesterday about you being on the chopping block."
  「我昨天無意中聽到關於你被放進裁員名單的事。」

B. 客氣、有禮貌說法

• "I hope you don't mind me mentioning this, but I inadvertently learned yesterday that your position might be affected by the layoffs."
  「希望你不介意我提到這件事，但我昨天無意中得知你的職位可能會受到裁員影響。」

• "I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but I accidentally came across information suggesting you may be included in the upcoming layoffs."

• "I wanted to give you a heads up - I unintentionally overheard that your name was mentioned regarding the layoffs."

C. 中文學習者容易犯的錯誤

❌ 錯誤： "I yesterday not careful listen you be put in fire people list"
✅ 正確： "I accidentally heard yesterday that you're on the layoff list"

錯誤點及解釋：

• yesterday 位置錯誤，應放在句末或用 yesterday I heard
• not careful listen → 語法錯誤，應為 accidentally heard
• you be put → 語法錯誤，應為 you're 或 you are
• fire people list → 中式英語直譯「開除人員名單」，應為 layoff list
• 缺少連接詞 that 引導從屬子句
• 整體語序和語法結構混亂

❌ 錯誤： "Yesterday I no intention hear you in cut job name list"
✅ 正確： "I unintentionally overheard yesterday that you're on the list for layoffs"

錯誤點及解釋：

• no intention hear → 語法錯誤，應為 unintentionally overheard
• cut job name list → 中式英語表達「裁員名單」，應為 list for layoffs
• you in → 介詞使用錯誤，應為 you're on
• 缺少 that 子句連接詞
• hear 應改為 overheard，更符合「無意間聽到」的語境

❌ 錯誤： "I yesterday mistake listen you be write in dismiss worker paper"
✅ 正確： "I mistakenly heard yesterday that you're listed for termination"

錯誤點及解釋：

• mistake listen → 詞性錯誤，應為 mistakenly heard
• you be write → 語法完全錯誤，應為 you're listed
• dismiss worker paper → 中式英語直譯「解僱工人文件」，應為簡潔的 termination
• 時間副詞 yesterday 位置不當
• 缺少 that 引導從屬子句
• write 用法錯誤，應為 listed (被列在名單上)

D. 相關單字與片語

• layoff - 裁員（通常因經濟原因）
